Belum sebulan yang lalu, hari ini (2008/6/26) saya hampir kena aksi penjambretan lagi. Kyknya lebih cocok disebut jambret soalnya terang-terangan mau ngambil. Kali ini, jumlah nya sekitar 5 orang.

Sekitar jam 10-an pagi, dari dekat halte busway karet, mau ke kantor arah sarinah/wahid hasyim naik metromini P15. Baru naik dari pintu belakang, mau ke depan tiba2 dihalangi bbrp orang, dan terang-terangan orang2 yang lain pegang2 semua kantong dan berusaha mengambil hp di dalam kantong jaketku. Untungnya, hp ada di saku bagian dalam yang pakai risleting. Orangnya maksa2 mau ambil, akhirnya.. saya teriak minta tolong hehe.. ternyata efektif juga.. kebetulan ada penumpang lain 1 atau 2 orang (lupa) langsung menoleh ke belakang. Para penjambret baru diam, langsung cepat-cepat saya turun dari P15, lalu akhirnya naik taksi ke kantor.

Yah.. ternyata, P15 juga gak aman. Sepertinya sejak BBM naik, makin rawan saja jakarta.

setelah pernah menulis tentang pertemuan dengan white sakura (SE W900) (tahun lalu dalam bulan mei juga), kali ini mengenai perpisahan dengan white sakura ku..

tadi siang, aku dari bundaran hi mau ke sarinah, naik metromini 640. Waktu itu ga bawa apa2, berhubung dekat jadi ga pake jaket + tas, cuman bawa map plastik, dengan hp di saku kanan, dompet di saku kiri. Waktu mau naik, emang ada yg sedikit aneh, ada yang turun cepet2 sampe kayak terjatuh.  Waktu naik, dalam metromini sih normal2 aja, cuman tampang orang2 nya agak sangar. Nah, waktu mau turun, tiba2 ada yang pegang2 celana bagian kiri, trus ada orang2 lain yang mendekati dari belakang + sebelah kanan.. tepat ketika baru turun, periksa hp di saku kanan ternyata sudah gak ada.. langsung cepet2 naik lagi.. tapi.. begitulah.. namanya maling mana ada yang ngaku.. dah gitu disuruh2 turun.. ada juga yang bilang ‘orangnya ada di 19 belakang tuh’,  keneknya juga belagak ga tau..

ya begitulah cerita singkatnya… just info, for everyone, be careful.. jakarta is like hell.

Tadi siang (2008/01/27), mantan presiden Soeharto wafat. Malam nya… satu lagi pahlawan kita wafat, Jusuf Ronodipuro, sang pembaca teks proklamasi di RRI yang menyebarkan proklamasi kemerdekaan ke seluruh dunia.

Walaupun aku bukan orang yang memiliki rasa patriotisme dan nasionalisme (kalau ada perang, kalau memungkinkan aku bakal cabut cari selamat ke negara lain d wkwkwk…), setidaknya dua kejadian tersebut mengingatkan betapa besar jasa para pahlawan-pahlawan kemerdekaan di masa lalu.

Sebagai rasa duka cita dan penghormatan, mari kita bersama mengheningkan cipta untuk semua pahlawan yang telah gugur.

It’s quite a time I didn’t write anything here. It’s not that busy actually, just having no good mood to write anything. Well, now I just want to fill up some time before going to Cotton Island.

What I want to write is about piracy.

It was begun when I knew computer, fond of the games, then continued with the invention of MP3 format, DivX, etc… I never thought it was a big deal copying stuffs like that, as it is very common in here… And on the contrary, it would look so weird seeing people buy thousands dollars of software while we could just rent the pirated software for no more than Rp.5000,-

I happened watching a movie (it’s a pirated DVD movie borrowed from my friend mhuahaha..), it is started with an advertisement to remind us that piracy is a crime similar as stealing, robbing, or anything which relates with depriving other’s property.

Lately, I’m thinking about this a lot. And I felt that I’ve done a very big crime. As I ever learn the five precepts in Buddhism. One of them is not to take other’s property which does not belong to me (in short: not to steal). I’m too afraid to find out, how many years I’ve done this.. even till now.. how many piracy have been done..? is it still countable.. or too many to count so it becomes uncountable? I should write it like this perhaps: how much piracy have been done?

But honestly, this is quite difficult to change. It already turns to a habit, a culture. I can’t imagine how much already stolen from great software corporation such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Borland, etc. Well, sorry and thank you.. lol… at least, I’ll not give a bad comment for The Bill Gates Empire as others.. I think M$ products are good enough, expensive to my pocket.. yess.., and gladly, they can still be cracked by somebody out there.

When I ask comments of others about piracy, many of them still consider piracy is ok. They blame on the high price of software. I couldn’t agree more on this, but however, it can’t be accepted as the reason to do piracy. I’m sure if I can’t afford to buy a piano for learning piano, I’m rational enough not to steal piano from music store. Well, I think, piracy is not seen as a crime by most people who have done it because it’s very easy to do and it can be done anonymously, and, as we know, breaking the rules is fun. But to choose, which one is better?
A.    Already know it’s bad, but keep doing it.
B.    Keep doing it innocently because not knowing it is bad.

But there’s a nice thing… some of my friends start to use only legal proprietary software and open source software, but… still.. downloading copyrighted media such as music and video.. lol.. it’s ok2 lah.. as long as they let me borrow it. XD~

Last February, returning from a business trip to Jakarta, I was welcome by
a great flood. Haven’t forgotten yet from the ‘tragedy’ (I still remember how it
was, carrying backpack and travel bag containing not only clothes but also
documents and electronic devices in dark and rain, and with a flood as high as
my thigh at around 02:00 AM).

A week ago, returning from similar trip to Jakarta, I was quite happy because I thought
there wouldn’t be any trouble as before. But too bad…, again… I was welcome by
another misfortune… Blackout in my boarding house for almost a week! The
electricity has just returned to normal no more than 1 hour ago.

I’m wondering what next… ^^

However, having a blackout actually is not that bad. At least, since there’s nothing I can do, I can sleep earlier.. and wake up (actually not) earlier.. ^_^v

Recently, I’m very interested in autostereogram, some people said it as ‘gambar tatap’. It’s a 2 dimensional image constructed by random dots or patterns, but if we can view it in a correct way, we will see a 3 dimensional scene in it.

I was never able to see it. But after following some guides for quite long time >_<; finally, I can enjoy some of the autostereogram images. Although, sometimes, I find it hard to view some of the images (still newbie, duh!).
